Always looking forward, we are hosting our November meeting with Europe Direct Sligo. Our guest speaker is Maria Walsh MEP. Dynamic, passionate and practical, Maria sits on a range EU level policy committees; from social, to economic, to environmental. She will be talking about the importance of how groups such as female business people and entrepreneurs, influence EU policymaking that filters to the smallest regions of member countries.   In other words, we need to influence policy at EU level to nurture our business in Sligo. Be ready for whatever challenge Maria sets us as the 2024 European Elections get nearer.

Special thanks to Europe Direct Sligo who have secured Maria as speaker and are hosting us at the Glasshouse Hotel. Brenda Cawley will tell us about what Europe Direct can do for SWIBN members, and also about the free  business supports provided by Sligo Library.
